I am a certified member of the "International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI)" and abide by their Code of Ethics and Standard of Practice, as well as that of the "Ontario Association of Home Inspectors (OAHI)."
HD (Home Detective) Home Inspection Service will conduct a thorough visual examination and provide a written report of the home and property. The inspection typically takes about two to four hours. During this time the house is inspected from top to bottom. The inspection includes examination of crucial components, including operation of the plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and appliance systems. It also includes structural components, such as roof, foundation, basement, exterior, interior walls, chimney, doors and windows.
When conducted by a professional, a home inspection covers approximately 400 items around the home. The findings are provided to you in the form of a comprehensive report, including photos. This report is an unbiased evaluation of the condition of the home, clearly stating the existing defects and indicating potential problems. The home inspection report is not a pass or fail examination.
